LOUISA, Ky. (AP) -- Funeral services will be this weekend for a soldier who grew up in eastern Kentucky.

Young Funeral Home in Louisa says visitation for 35-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Sluss-Tiller will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST Friday at Burnaugh Baptist Church. The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Sluss-Tiller was killed Wednesday with two other soldiers in a bomb blast in Pakistan outside a school. The blast also killed three children and a Pakistan paramilitary soldier.

Sluss-Tiller is also survived by his wife and daughter of North Carolina, where Sluss-Tiller was stationed at Fort Bragg.
